Overview
Background Removal runs on **our secure servers** (not in your browser). We remove each background and return **transparent PNG files** you can place on any backdrop. Unlike resize or compress, your images are uploaded for processing.
Before you start
- •You can start **without signing in**, or **sign in** to tie usage to your account
- •Check your **plan limits** on the tool page (daily and monthly allowances)
Plan limits
- •**Per run:** 5 images (Free) · 20 (Premium)
- •**Per day:** 10 background removals (Free) · 100 (Premium)
- •**Per month:** 30 removals (Free) · 1000 (Premium)
Premium keeps finished jobs on your **Dashboard** for 7 days so you can download again. Free downloads are available for **24 hours** after the job completes—save your ZIP promptly.
Step-by-step
- Open Background Removal.
- Wait until the page shows **Ready** (signed in or not).
- Add images or **one ZIP** in the drop zone (thumbnails, remove, and add more work like our other tools).
- Review the list—only supported image types (.png, .jpg, .webp, .bmp) are included.
- Click **Remove backgrounds & download ZIP**.
- Your files upload, then our servers process them in order. **This can take several minutes per image** when demand is high; stay on the page to watch progress.
- When the ZIP is ready, click **Download ZIP** for your transparent PNGs.
Tips
- •Start with a small batch if you hit timeouts—try 5 images first to confirm quality
- •**10 MB** maximum per image
- •Premium: open your Dashboard within 7 days to download past jobs again
